Janssen’s Restaurant, Oliver, B.C.

After doing laundry, dusting and vacuuming today, my beloved husband tells me he’s taking me for lunch. Yeah! I love treats. I wonder if it was because we would have to eat from the ceiling and walk on air for a day or two…..nah. ( my usual comments)…

We went to the Nk’Mip Golf Course Restauant in Oliver, B.C. called Janssen’s Restaurant http://www.winecapitalofcanada.com/directory/4717/janssens-restaurant-canyon-desert-golf-course/.

This restaurant has a few problems over the past 2-3 years, but now seem to have it right. New owners who can cook. The restaurant is clean. The service is spot on and friendly and the food is good.

The menu has certainly changed, expanded and covers any kind of meal you would want. We decided to share and decided on the Schnitzel Sandwich with a small side of fries.

I ordered my glass of wine and Don ordered his beer. The food came, extra plate….food already ‘halved’  and it was really tasty.

I am so glad they have fixed this restaurant up and I would hope, if you are here in Oliver wanting to have a game of golf, be sure to stop in at this restaurant. You won ‘t be sorry.

Our server, Michelle, was  friendly, prompt and had a sense of humor. Great restaurant, great food and a wonderful husband to boot. Lucky me!
